Experimental Painting

From "Self Experimentation"

Today I would like to show you some experimental painting I did. I decided to make a lovely lilac (are they lilacs? I'm not sure, but they are flowers!) acrylic painting with some cotton swabs!
Experimental painting is great because it puts you outside of your comfort zone and creates a unique piece. I love the strange and different outcomes that come out of experimental painting!
All you have to do is tie together some cotton swabs with a rubber band, dip it in paint, and dab it on the surface where intended.

I'm so happy with it! πŸ˜ŠπŸŽ¨πŸ’
It's so easy and so amazing looking. I hope you try it sometime as well!
πŸ’ Thanks for joining me, and have a nice day! πŸ’

People Sketching

Picture Found Here
Hello fellow internet users! Today, I want to show some more art. Diversity is up with my favorite words. It describes how different we are, but how we all need each other. I like to draw different people, their different skin tones, hair color, eye shape, clothing, etc. For me, there are two methods I use to draw different people. First, I go people watching when I can. I bring my sketchbook with me, and draw the people I see (C'mon guys. It's not that creepy). But, for today's art, I used the second method. I just go on the internet and search for different faces. Okay, here's what you've been waiting for. These are the sketches I made.

🎨 Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like my pictures! Have a great day! 🎨

Fried Strawberry Pies

strawberrys,
Stuffpoint

Hello everyone! I would like to show you one of my favorite treats. These Fried Strawberry Pies are MOUTHWATERING. One bite and I was in love. I dare you to try them. The recipe is below.

Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries, mashed
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 (15-ounce) package refrigerated piecrusts
Vegetable oil
Powdered sugar

How to Make It

1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring strawberry mixture to a boil over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until thickened. Cool completely.

2. Roll 1 piecrust to press out fold lines; cut into 9 circles with a 3-inch round cutter. Roll circles to 3 1/2-inch diameter; moisten edges with water. Spoon 2 teaspoons strawberry mixture in the center of each circle; fold over, pressing edges to seal. Repeat with remaining piecrust and strawberry mixture.

3. Place pies in a single layer on a baking sheet, and freeze at least 1 hour.

4. Pour oil to a depth of 1 inch into a large heavy skillet; heat to 350°. Fry pies, in batches, 1 minute on each side or until golden. Drain on paper towels; sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I hope you enjoy! This recipe was found at Southern Living. Make sure you check them out!

Band Assessment

Abstract Art Pictures Collection
I love music, so much. Music can change people, which is why I love it so much. Music is why I love BAND class so much.Yesterday, we had to go take our band assessment. I remember how nervous I was on the bus, as I was setting up my saxophone. The Dozier Band went into the high school, dead silent (for literally 4 hours straight). We went on that stage and did our best, and absolutely did amazing in the sight-reading room. When we finished, I was so relieved. As we waited for the bus to leave, I remember our band teacher coming onto the bus, so excited, telling us how we got straight ones! The best you can get! Everyone was screaming, and I was so happy for the rest of the day.
πŸŽ΅πŸ’—Congratulations, Dozier Band! I'm so proud of us!πŸ’—πŸŽ΅

Yesterday, me and my family went to Beauty and the Beast. It was AMAZING. As good as the trailer made it seem in my opinion. They stick to the classic but make it seem new, with new details and songs. This movie was great! You guys should definitely go see it.

Birthday Madness

(From Left to Right) Annette, Elise, Kaitlyn, Nathan, Abbey, Ally, Me, My Dad (Bill)

Hello Again! Today I would like to tell you about my birthday! My birthday was a while ago, February 6th, to be exact. I turned thirteen, and I had a blast. Me and my friends went to Breakout Games, and we had to escape out of a casino. When tokens fell out of the slot machine, we all screamed and fell on the floor! We made it out, with seconds left! It was intense, but so much fun! We went back and ate cake, opened presents, and goofed around a bit.

With my family, we went to Outback. I got a spicy steak. When we got home, we opened my presents (thanks everyone for the gifts!) and ate cake. I got a white-chocolate raspberry cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. It was delicious!
That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by, and thanks to everyone who celebrated with me!
