People Sketching

Picture Found Here
Hello fellow internet users! Today, I want to show some more art. Diversity is up with my favorite words. It describes how different we are, but how we all need each other. I like to draw different people, their different skin tones, hair color, eye shape, clothing, etc. For me, there are two methods I use to draw different people. First, I go people watching when I can. I bring my sketchbook with me, and draw the people I see (C'mon guys. It's not that creepy). But, for today's art, I used the second method. I just go on the internet and search for different faces. Okay, here's what you've been waiting for. These are the sketches I made.

๐ŸŽจ Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like my pictures! Have a great day! ๐ŸŽจ

Fried Strawberry Pies

Hello everyone! I would like to show you one of my favorite treats. These Fried Strawberry Pies are MOUTHWATERING. One bite and I was in love. I dare you to try them. The recipe is below.

2 cups fresh strawberries, mashed
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 (15-ounce) package refrigerated piecrusts
Vegetable oil
Powdered sugar

How to Make It

1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring strawberry mixture to a boil over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until thickened. Cool completely.

2. Roll 1 piecrust to press out fold lines; cut into 9 circles with a 3-inch round cutter. Roll circles to 3 1/2-inch diameter; moisten edges with water. Spoon 2 teaspoons strawberry mixture in the center of each circle; fold over, pressing edges to seal. Repeat with remaining piecrust and strawberry mixture.

3. Place pies in a single layer on a baking sheet, and freeze at least 1 hour.

4. Pour oil to a depth of 1 inch into a large heavy skillet; heat to 350°. Fry pies, in batches, 1 minute on each side or until golden. Drain on paper towels; sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I hope you enjoy! This recipe was found at Southern Living. Make sure you check them out!

Band Assessment

Abstract Art Pictures Collection
I love music, so much. Music can change people, which is why I love it so much. Music is why I love BAND class so much.Yesterday, we had to go take our band assessment. I remember how nervous I was on the bus, as I was setting up my saxophone. The Dozier Band went into the high school, dead silent (for literally 4 hours straight). We went on that stage, and did our best, and absolutely did amazing in the sight-reading room. When we finished, I was so relieved. As we waited for the bus to leave, I remember our band teacher coming onto the bus, so exited, telling us how we got straight ones! The best you can get! Everyone was screaming, and I was so happy for the rest of the day.
๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ’—Congratulations, Dozier Band! I'm so proud of us!๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽต

Yesterday, me and my family went to Beauty and the Beast. It was AMAZING. As good as the trailer made it seem in my opinion. They stick to the classic, but make it seem new, with new details and songs. This movie was great! You guys should definitely go see it.

Birthday Madness

(From Left to Right) Annette, Elise, Kaitlyn, Nathan, Abbey, Ally, Me, My Dad (Bill)

Hello Again! Today I would like to tell you about my birthday! My birthday was a while ago, February 6th, to be exact. I turned thirteen, and I had a blast. Me and my friends went to Breakout Games, and we had to escape out of a casino. When tokens fell out of the slot machine, we all screamed and fell on the floor! We made it out, with seconds left! It was intense, but so much fun! We went back and ate cake, opened presents, and goofed around a bit.

With my family, we went to Outback. I got a spicy steak. When we got home, we opened my presents (thanks everyone for the gifts!) and ate cake. I got a white-chocolate raspberry cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. It was delicious!
That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by, and thanks to everyone who celebrated with me!

The Best Vanilla Cake I've Ever Had

Related image
Have you ever eaten something, and just felt like saying, "Oh my goodness, this is the best thing I have ever had!"? That's what I said when I made this delicious vanilla cake with my friend, Allyson. We were planning on making a roll cake, but her oven was tilted, and half of it was burned (luckily, there was enough of it not burned for us to try it)! Here's the recipe! ๐ŸŽ‚

  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Preheat the oven to 375F.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar for 3-4 minutes, until thick and pale yellow. Beat in the water and vanilla. Beat in the flour, baking powder and salt, beating just until smooth.

Line a shallow rimmed baking sheet - about 10x15 inches - with parchment or foil, and if you use foil, butter it or spray it with nonstick spray. Pour in the batter and smooth it to fill the pan to every edge. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until golden and springy to the touch.

Flipping Through My Sketchbooks

Hello Everyone! As most of you know, I love to draw. So today, I would like to share a few of my drawings from some of my sketchbooks.๐ŸŽจ

Boba Fett, drawn a year and a half ago, is still one of my most favorite sketches. Looking at now, I feel I could do it better now, but when I was a sixth-grader, it looked pretty cool to me. Also, Boba Fett is my favorite Star Wars character (YESSS!!!).

Also drawn last year, is Midnight, a drawing based on Cinderella. This drawing was very much inspired by Once Upon A Time, an AMAZING TV series. The way I drew their noses in this picture bothers me so much. I have definitely improved since then.

Probably up in the Top Ten Sketches for last year, is Nightmare. I remember drawing this picture very clearly. I was in science class, and the guy next to me would not stop watching me draw. Then, inspiration struck. The girl is having a nightmare, and she feels like she's being watched constantly... because she is... Obviously... I mean, look out her window...

The Mystical... The Magical... The Amazing PB&JELLYFISH! The PB&JELLYFISH is based on my favorite sandwich. Also, grape or strawberry? I'm very particular with my jelly, and strawberry is my all-time favorite.

Stitch! Who doesn't love this adorable creature? Probably Gianna's favorite out of the bunch, as Lilo and Stitch is literally her favorite movie. I used a video to help me draw this picture. You can find it right here "Click Me!"

This picture is based on my favorite puzzle game, Monument Valley. It includes, Ida, the thieving princess, Totem, the lovable sidekick, the Red Flower, and beautiful scenery. I could draw Totem all the time. He's so adorable!

These four pictures I'm really happy with. Cinder's skin is probably the best I've ever done with Copic Markers. I was amazed about how Iko turned out, because she was drawn using only my school materials, not my Pro-art materials. I did Princess Winter only with a blue ballpoint pen. The quote that she says is, "You may treat us like animals, but we will not live in your cages." Finally, there is the Evil Queen Levena. I'm semi-happy with the shading, but I could really make it pop with some charcoal. All of these characters are from The Lunar Chronicles.

Thanks for stopping to take a look at my art! Let me know which one is your favorite! Bye for Now!
